The Magical World OF Crazy Science!!!

Hello!!! Today we had some visitors come to our school to show us The Magical World of Crazy Science!!!  Richard was the main guy showing us the  tricks and Robyn was the DJ. One of the first tricks was a figure lying flat in his hand and somehow he made it float up to stand. I also liked the experiment with nappies. It was very interesting to see how they work.

I was amazed at what happened with the film rocket. I might try it at home.

There was a really cool thing with bubbles. He made big ones and smaller ones and even put bubbles in to a big bubble. I was amazed with the ball and the hair dryer I wonder what would've happened if he had two and the ball was in between would balance or would it lose control because of all the air molecules fighting against the ball causing it to blow away and when Richard moved the air dryer the ball didn't move because there was a balance or if he moved faster would air push the ball out of the way of the out blow of air.

I wonder why when the leaf blower was on and angle maybe because of the air molecules and gravity pushing together  causing a balance in the air causing the ball to stay in its place on that angle and when he spun it, it was just causing it to spin not causing any effects.

Camp Booklet!

Hello hello hello! Its nice to be back with you guys I just went on the best camp eve!
We went up Mount Ruapehu. It was so much fun. So firstly it was on the day we had to come early in the morning to get everything up and running on the bus and to go to The Park (our hotel) at National Park. On the bus I was sitting next to Oscar, it was quite funny with me and him. Then there was a stop at Hamilton Gardens for morning tea and a picture hunt. Pink won that one. Then the next stop was at the Ed Hillary walk way for lunch and then each team got an answer sheet to fill in. We came second in that one! The last stop before National Park was Taumarunui School for afternoon tea and a play.
Now for National Park. The Next day. yay! now time for skiing. Let's get on the bus and head up the mountain.......



For me what was challenging was that the first day I had to work my hardest and persevere to get it done.
learning to ski was hard at the start. my succses was skiing down Rock Garden with my dad. Book week!

Hello! This week is book week! Book week is my favorite week of the year. 

In book week there is a book fair on. It is a lot of fun, and if our parents allow, we can buy a book! My mum is part of the book fair so I got to have a sneak peak at all the books. The book I got was the 'Minecraft book:guide to exploration' and then with my own money I got the next 'Minecraft book:guide to creative'. I have already started reading one. 

Now moving on... This week was also parent interviews/student led conferences and if you don't  already know what they are it is when the parents come into their child's class and the student talks to their parent about their learning and what they have been doing at school.  At my conference I had a bad eye so it was a bit harder on my Chromebook to show my goals. And the class that have the most parents come to the interviews gets a mystery prize lunch! 

Last but not least, today is character parade day. This is when you dress up as your favourite book character and we go around in a circle and the teachers choose the spot prize winners. I hope I get one! My costume was NICK FURY from Marvel Avengers! I borrowed my friend's mother's coat and my mum 3-D printed me a NICKFURY I-D card and eye patch. Now here are some photos!
