Week 4 Day 1 Activity 1 - Turn of the Century - Celebrating a Win
Celebrate!
How do you celebrate?
We celebrate Christmas and New Year's down at Mahia on the East Coast of the North Island.
We go down there to see my great nan, we spend Christmas down there and we also like to go fishing and let out a Crayfish pot and sometimes we put out a net to catch fish.
Yum!
Do you like Crayfish?
For birthdays in our family, our parents let us choose a theme for our birthday cake and sometimes a birthday party. If we don't have a party we have a big family lunch. On our actual birthday, we get to choose what's for dinner. I like this as I will choose my favourite meal Fillet Mignon.

Kia Ora Samuel,
ReplyDeleteCadence here from the Summer Learning Journey team! Well done at completing this activity.
I love crayfish! So tasty! Sounds like a great way to spend New Year’s Day! My family usually cook it on the BBQ.
Thanks for adding some photos. What sort of theme is the cake?
My last birthday, my family designed a piano that looked exactly like a piano! It was soo cool!
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes,
Cadence :)
Hi Cadence,
DeleteThe theme of the cake is 21 Pilots. They are one of my favourite bands. A piano cake, that would have been a hard one to make. I bet it tasted amazing.
Thanks Sam
