Hey guy's!
Welcome back to a new blog. today's blog I will show you a design of the front of a postcard that I made. I hope you like it. This blog is actually about in the 1950's were they didn't have computers and they had to write messages. This message is fake and Benson is my best friend and be sure to check out his blog at

I hope You like the way I made this. We had to use some kiwiana so I put in a kiwifruit in and I also made some grafiti of bensons name and added a happy new years message with some fireworks to finish it of.
If you were to imagine yourself in the 1950's and you had to write a message to someone who would you send it to?

Hey Samuel,
ReplyDeleteLoving the use of colour on a black background, it makes it stand out a whole lot more. Had you thought about what special things about Aotearoa you could put on the card? Kiwifruit is actually found in a few other countries so it isn’t special to only New Zealand. I wonder why it is called the kiwifruit..
If I were to design my own postcard with elements of Kiwiana, I would most definitely include a picture of a Kiwi, Pavlova, Kōwhai flowers and a Pohutukawa tree. If you could add anything else to your card what would you include?
Toe feiloa’i fo’i,
Cia.
P.s. I'll be sure to check out your friend Benson's blog!
ReplyDeleteI love the bright and bold colours on this postcard. I agree the black background really makes the pictures and writing pop.
ReplyDeleteIf i were to design a kiwiana card, I would have a BBQ on the beach surrounded by Pohutukawa trees and kiwis sitting under the tree. And if I was to send someone a postcard back in the 1950s I would have probably sent it to my grandfather. I used to love telling him about my adventures.
