  4. Hi Sam,
I haven’t been to see Tane Mahuta, but it would be an experience to do so. Maybe we could do it as a family adventure one day.

  6. Kia ora Sam,

Happy New Year! I am amazed at the amount of work you have been doing over the Christmas period. Cia and I have lot of catching up to do so that we can comment on all of your activities.

I would absolutely love to visit Tane Mahuta as it could be close to 2,500 years old. It is sad to imagine that this magical tree could be infected by Kauri dieback disease soon due to how quickly the disease is spreading. Good on you and the rest of the team at St John for raising money to tackle this awful disease. Did you get to visit any Kauri trees while you were fundraising for them?

Thank you for being such an active participant in the Summer Learning Journey. It is great to see your enthusiasm. Please remember that these activities should take you around 20 minutes to complete so I am hoping to see a bit more information in your posts. If you would like to earn full points for this activity I would love to see you talking a bit more about why you would like to visit Tane Mahuta. You could also add in more information about the Kauri dieback disease, since you have been a part of the team who are helping protect Kauri trees.

I am looking forward to reading more of your activities, Sam.

I hope you are enjoying your holidays,
    Megan :)

  7. Hi Samuel,
Well done on finishing this activity. It's great to hear that you would like to visit Tane Mahuta and that you have done some fundraising to help prevent the Kauri disease. I would also like to visit the giant tree because it would be extremely awesome to see how short I am compared to it. Keep up the good work.
