Here is 3 things I found you can do there.
1. Live Kapahaka Performances
There are different types of performances including
Waiata-ā-ringa, Poi, and Hakas
2. Waitangi Mountain Bike Park
Family friendly bike trails from beginners to advanced.
3.Taimai Tours
Where you get to paddle on one of the 50ft War Canoe. The tour lasts 2 hours and you learn about their culture through storytelling.
I would like to try the bike park, as I love being outdoors on my bike, scooter or skateboard.
Have you been to the village of Waitangi?
Follow for daily blogs.
I have not been to the Waitangi Village, after reading your post, it sounds like there is lots to do there. We might have to look into planning a family trip there.
ReplyDeleteKia ora Sam,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have done some a lot of research about what activities are found in Waitangi. I really liked learning about the Taimai Tours where you can learn about the Maori culture and paddle in a war canoe. That, to me, sounds like an awesome, once in a lifetime, experience. However, I agree with you, the bike park also sounds like good fun, especially if you are into outdoor activities.
Have you ever visited Waitangi before? I would love to visit Waitangi, as this is such a historical place for New Zealand. I hope that you have the opportunity to visit Waitangi one day and can tell me all about your experience.
Today I will be heading to the Wesley Community Centre to meet some students who are blogging with the Summer Learning Journey. If you have the opportunity, I would love for you to join me for some blogging at some stage between 11:30 & 1:30.
Have a lovely day today, I will hopefully see you later,
Megan
