Art show

Hello Hello Hello.
Something very special happened two days ago and guess what that was... Our annual art show!
We got to make a few pieces of art for the show that we put on every year.
It was a lot of fun and if you were a helper you got to go around in these fancy aprons and carry  plates of food around and hand them out to our guests, that was a lot of fun!
For the art show we created bird paintings.
So what you see above is the Installation Art slideshow that we made to show how much rubbish we used in 8 weeks in the slideshow are the results.
Would you go plastic free for your community? Comment down below.
When we made the bird painting the first step was to make a quick sketch of our bird.
We decided to paint the background first. Most of us decided that we would have the sunset or sunrise.
The next part was hills, suns, moons or anything else were painted.
I had a hill that had some flax at the top by a Creek that my bird was sitting on.
Now for the hard bit. For our birds we were focussing on the details like feathers and cracks in the beaks plus things like the right colours.
This is my bird
My bird is a Pukeko sitting in a creek amongst the reeds sticking up around him.
Comment down below what your favorite NZ Native bird is.
Thanks for seeing my blog post feel free to follow my blog and if you have any art to share with me please feel free to do that.
Bye now thanks!

LOW TIDE AT NIGHT

LOW TIDE AT NIGHT

Mounds of Seaweed whisper.
Salt seeps into the sand.
Limpets browse, scrape tracks along boulders
Etching grey scrolls into dark algae.

Lugworms hide in mud caves
Marked by coils and holes
That open and close in measured time;
Seven gulps of air till the flood tide.

Circled by bladder-wrack
Rock pools are black opals.
Pebbles and shells discarded by waves
Freckle a beach bare of daytime hordes.

Far off, asleep, the sea:
Lights mark another shore.
Meantime, a crab waits his hardening shell
Under a blanket of whispered seaweed song.

Word Storm

Hey guys!
Have you seen the weather the last few days it is crazy any way getting back to the task in class we created these word storms.
It is when you go on to this website (which I will mention later) and you get to add in a whole bunch of words and choose your shape your font and the angle that you want it at and it comes up like this!
But before we got to zoom away there is a document that we used to get words from so we wrote them down A-Z and the words were added in then.
We did it about the feelings that we could have experiences throughout our lives.
So if you would like to use this website go to https://wordart.com/
Make sure to follow and smack a comment down below see ya later!

Flood proof house

What would you do in a flash flood situation? Comment down below.

Our task is to create anything you want that is a flood-proof house that can withstand a tsunami. This is my design.

The design was inspired by some American skyscrapers that they used so that earthquakes wouldn't affect them.

The design has springs underneath because, before the tsunami,
there is usually an earthquake that triggers it so the springs and the earth will move
but you wouldn't feel a thing!
When the tsunami hits the water will fill in the gaps where the springs are which takes
a lot of water out since the ground space underneath is so deep.

Thanks for looking at my post. Please give me some feedback, and your welcome to follow my blog.
