  1. Hello Samuel,
I am Vitaraag. You have got lots of interesting fruits and veggies. I would love to see you garden if it was real. Would you love your garden if it was real? I would. Maybe next time you can say why you picked those fruits. Keep up the amazing work!

  2. Hi Sam,
Wow, what a great choice of vegetables, fruits and herbs you've listed for your garden.

I'm Leslie and I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, reading your blog from my home in Canada. I'm getting hungrier by the minute after reading your list!!

In Canada we're in the middle of our winter so we don't have any gardens producing fruits and vegetables just now, unless they're in a green house.
It's lovely to think that you're enjoying summer and able to buy or grow fresh products for your meals every day. Yumm!!

Have you ever had a garden and grown vegetables or fruits or herbs yourself, or with your family? My daughter, Rachel, lives in Auckland and she and her partner and son have a raised garden bed in which they're growing tomatoes, some lettuce, some peppers and some herbs. I think it's a wonderful thing to do!!

I'm really glad that you've chosen to participate in the Summer Learning Journey program. I'm enjoying reading your blog so I hope you'll continue to work on the activities!

    Cheers,

    Leslie

  3. Hello Samuel,
I am Gargee from Hay Park School. That is an extremely healthy and beautiful garden with a large selection of foods. It is ideal for protecting the environment and making lots of different recipes for free! Ka Pai!

I really like how your list isn't only sweet fruits and veges, but also stuff like ginger, lettuce and parsley. You can have so many different meals including those things, like a salad, pasta with potato, and much more. My personal favourite is pineapple because they are very sweet but also not, and I'm not a fan of too much sweetness.

What dish will you make with this list?

    Happy Blogging

  4. Kia Ora Samuel!

My name is Katelynn and I am from Grey Main School, I am also doing the summer learning journey!

I like the fruits, vegetables and herbs you have chosen to plant in your garden, they sound like great fruits, vegetables and herbs to plant in your garden. What meal or snack would you make with the fruits, vegetables and herbs?

Maybe next time you could add a image of what you would like your garden to look like but other than that it was a really good blog post for the summer learning journey.

This reminded me of when I did this activity, I found it a really fun and interesting activity to complete because I like most foods.

Did you like doing this activity?
What has been your favourite activity so far?
Why did you pick these fruits, vegetables and herbs?

Keep up the great work Samuel!

Well done on finishing this activity. I think that the ten vegetables, fruits and herbs that you have chosen are great. However, I would add strawberries and grapes to the list as they are delicious! Keep up the excellent work.
