bonus activity A house is not a home

Hi guys!
We have to read some projects about fauna & flora.
And pick the one that is most interesting to us.
I have read the project 'conserving threatened fruit-and-nut forests in Tajikistan'.

I chose it because well I like food so I wanted to find out more.
Did you know only 3% of the country is actual forest!

Please comment below and keep up to date because there is only 9 more posts!

  1. Talofa Lava Samuel,
Well done for completing another Summer Learning Journey activity. It seems like I'm early! I like how you chose an activity appropriate for your prefrences, like food!

I like how you chose food because you love it, because it is good o do something that you are passionate about. It is so interesting that people also need to protect nuts. I am amazed that 3% of the country is forest! I thought it was so much smaller,

Maybe next time you can write something about the nut saving journey.

  4. Hi Samuel,
Well done on finishing this activity. I think that you have done a good job explaining what Fauna and Flora International do in Tajikistan. Would you want to work in a company that helps people and countries like F&FI when you are older? Keep up the good work.

  6. Hi Sam,

Gobsmacked!! Only 3% of Tajikstan is forest, that is not much at all. What do you think they could do to increase this, if there was a way?

  7. Hi Sam,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team.

I see that you've chosen the Fruit and Nut Forest of Tajikistan as your project to focus on. I'm glad to know that you're so interested in and keen about food. I got that hint when I read your poem about Beijing!

However, to earn 10 full points for this activity, Sam, I'm going to ask you to add more details to this posting. Please write about what the challenges are in Tajikistan that are causing problems for the fruit and nut trees. What kinds of trees are at risk? Can you give a little detail about what's being done to solve some of the problems?

I know that the program is coming to an end but it's important to take time to give full answers to the questions, as much as possible!! Otherwise, people reading your blog don't really know what you're writing about!

I hope you're having a really nice summer day and I hope you'll think about adding more information to this posting so that you can earn more points.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
