Can you believe it!
People where damaging police motorcycles just to try to get closer to them!
And a girl got injured trying to climb over a wired fence.
They had to get in a team of Thirty police officers just for that one concert and some of them where wearing their normal clothes!
Te Pataka concert party performed a haka, before doing a hongi (pressing noses) and presenting the band members with tiki.

  1. Fans can certainly get carried away. I know The Beatles were the craze back then. Do you remember what all the girls were like when we went to One Direction's concert. I remember you complaining about how much they were all screaming and you didn't understand why.
It is very special to meet celebrities. You have been very lucky to have met some celebrities. There was The Madden Brothers, Savage and some local tv celebrities at different events.

  2. Kia ora Sam,

Wow, these are some interesting facts that you have found out about The Beatles New Zealand tour. Isn't it incredible how passionate some people can get over celebrities. It's just a shame that they were so passionate that they wrecked police motorbikes and hurt themselves. I haven't come close enough to a celebrity as famous as The Beatles to know how I would react but it sounds like you have. I see your Mum mentioned you have gone to the One Direction concert and saw other celebrities like The Madden Brothers. How close were you able to get to them? How were the fans there reacting? I see that you are a Twenty One Pilots fan too, were you able to visit their concert last year?

    Happy blogging,
    Megan :)

    1. Hi Megan,
I was very lucky with the Madden Brothers as we attended a signing with them. So i was able to talk to them and get their autograph and a photo taken with them.
The fans were not that crazy. They were actually all really well behaved. Yes I went to the 21 Pilots Concert with my Dad. That was my favourite concert.
Have you been to any concerts?
      Sam.
