Presents for family and my close friends - $2 Million
A new hall for our school - $1.5 Million
Build a new skatepark $200,000
A new house for myself - $2 Million
Furniture and decorations - $1 Million
Image result for nz moneyA new house for my parents - $1.5 Million
A house each for my sisters - $2 Million
A custom scooter $1000
A holiday home - $1 Million
A trip to Paris for 5  - $50,000
Buy some Twenty One Pilots Merch -$1000
A new wardrobe - $10,000
Occasional outings - $10,000
For Lego and toys $50,000
Create my own scooter brand and set up a shop - $10 Million
Money towards a car (as I don't know how old I am when spending this money, this money may be put aside for when I am old enough to buy it) - $40,000

The remaining $236,362,000 would be put into savings.

I have found this really hard.  It is a lot of money, and I actually don't think I would ever like to have this much money to spend.  I think it would change the friendships and family I have.

How would you have spent your $300 Million? Did you find this as hard as I did??

  1. Kia Ora Samuel,

Cadence here from the Summer Learning Journey team! Well done at completing this activity.

I loved reading about all the awesome things you would do with $300 million dollars. It’s very cool how you have thought about all the special people in your life, charities and business ideas too! Very creative.

If I had $300 million dollars my list would probably look quite similar to yours! Although I would include travel the world in a year visiting every country at least once.

Awesome ideas here Samuel! Keep the creative ideas coming!

    Best wishes,

    Cadence :)

    1. Hi Cadence,

Thank you for your comment. I hadn't really thought about world travel. That would be an exciting adventure. Where would you go first?

Awesome to hear from you! Mmmhhmmm.... I think I would travel to Canada first! Definitely have to go snowboarding there in the peck of Winter.
Do you have an idea of where you would like to go first?

    3. Hi Cadence,
As I have posted about in another blog, I would definitely go to Paris first. This is one place that I would love to go to.
Snowboarding in Canada sounds fun. I went skiing at Mt Ruapehu for the first time last year and loved it.

    4. Hey Sam,

Yes Mt Ruapehu is amazing! How did you find skiing? Challenging or you got the hang of it quickly?

Paris would be awesome, what would you like to see there?

    5. Hi Cadence,
I found it first challenging the first, it was hard to concentrate on what the lady was saying. When we had free time, I was able to go at my own pace and picked it up quite quickly after that. The second day I was able to go up to Rock Garden/next level of skiing. Which was very exciting.

There are several things I would like to see at Paris. I did write about them in a blog post through the Summer Learning Journey. The Notre Dame Cathedral is at the top of the list.
      Thanks for your comment.

  2. Hey Sam,

Wow, you are such a generous person. I loved reading about how you would buy a house for your parents and each of your sisters. I think this is such a lovely thing to think about and shows how generous you are. I am also amazed that you thought about how having $300 million dollars would change your friends and family. You are absolutely right. I have always thought about if I won lotto and decided that I would put it into my savings and keep it very quiet.

I have loved reading about what you would do with $300 million.

I look forward to reading more of your posts,
    Megan :)

    1. Hi Megan,
Thank you for your comment. Yes I think I would keep it quiet too, if I actually had $300 million dollars or won lotto. My parents have taught me to think of others and not just myself. They always give me and my sisters everything so it would be nice to give them back something, if I was able to.
