The future!

What do you think Auckland will be like in 2080/90 what sort of houses would people live in what sort of food would people eat.

Image result for Robots from the futureI think that everyone would have new flash homes with robot voices inside to tell you information and what to do right what things your doing wrong and will be doing the dishes and wiping the table and doing things for their owners.
I also think that because technology is advancing so very quickly that think that there will be lots of robots in the future.
Now on to food, I dont think food will change too much, but we will have robots making it for us.

Do you think things will be any different to how they are now?
Comment below, this is my last blog post for my Summer Learning Journey, and I would like to thank you for following my journey.  I have enjoyed reading your responses and learning lots of new things.

If you want to feel free to continue to follow my blog, I will continue to post throughout the year with my learning at school.

  1. Well done on your Summer Learning Journey. It’s has been enjoyable for me to see the passion you have had for this. And the ideas you have published are impressive. I hope you have learned something along the way.
    I know I certainly have.
I see us living in more environmentally friendly houses, back to basics with our food, living off the land. Like it used to be. More solar powered living. Or it could go in another complete different path with more technology based homes, robots doing everything for us and more processed foods.
I think schooling will be quite different too.
You should be proud of your work!!! I know your dad and I are. Keep up the good work.

    1. Thank you for your support Mum and Dad. I am proud of what I have done with the Summer Learning Journey. It has inspired me to start my own personal blog, where I can post about awesome events such as seeing the rocket launch and stuff like that, with your supervision to start this.
      Thanks for all your comments.

  3. Hey Sam,

Congratulations on completing the Summer Learning Journey! You have done an absolutely incredible job this summer. I have been very impressed with the amount of effort you have put into your posts. I loved how your generous nature shined through your posts, especially in the Lord of the Rings activity where you allocated your $300 million dollars. I liked this activity so much that I shared it with the whole Summer Learning Journey team when we got together last week.

I completely agree with you that robots will be a huge part of the future. Our homes will likely have robots and technology doing the easy day to day activities. I also think the next generation, like yourself, will have to get creative with the kind of jobs they aim for. I believe this because a study done by McKinsey found that 60% of jobs today will be replaced by technology and robots. I am not sure whether I would like robots to be so involved in our day to day living. Can you think of any benefits we could see by having so many robots around? I can think of a few negatives as well, can you?

Once again, congratulations on your completion of the Summer Learning Journey. You have done an incredible job, Sam.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday,
    Megan :)

    2. Hi Romana,

You are more than welcome, I am so glad you enjoyed the spot prize. The support you showed Sam throughout the Summer Learning Journey shone through as he did so well. I am hoping to encourage more parents to participate in the future programmes. I am looking forward to seeing Sam's journey this coming Summer.

One of Sam's prizes was a 3 month subscription for Epic Books. They have just come back to me asking for an adults email address. Would you be happy to supply me with your email so that I could pass it on?

      Many thanks,
      Megan
