  2. Hello Samuel,
I am Vitaraag. I also kind of believe that the taniwha exists. I believe it because where would the bubbles come from. What do you think the bubbles were? I think it was the taniwha. Maybe next time you can say some reasons why you think it is real but if you don't have any that is okay. Keep up the amazing work!

  3. Kia Ora Samuel,
I am Gargee from Hay Park School. I like how you added a picture to make your post more interesting. I personally don't believe in taniwha because my mind can't convince me that there is a water dragon guarding the water. But I also do wonder what those bubbles and big foamy eruption came from. Maybe it's a species of fish or something we've never seen. Don't you think? I respect yout opinion on believing taniwha, but what else could those bubbles be?

What do you believe, taniwha or something else?

    Happy Blogging

  4. Hi Samuel,
Well done on finishing this Summer Learning Journey activity. Like Gargee, I also don't think that the Taniwha exists because there is no actual evidence of it. The bubbles in the water could just be a really big fish. Keep up the good work.

  5. Hi Samuel!
I like your blog post about the Taniwha. I can't believe that you believe the Taniwha is real. I don't think that because I wouldn't expect someone to see a underwater dragon.
    Blog you later!

  6. Hi Sam,

Yes you are correct, Taniwha are talked about in a lot of Maori Myths and Legends. I love how the other bloggers have commented their views but also respected yours. In life people will always have their own views and opinions and they might not be the same as yours.

I do believe in some form that Taniwha do exist.

  7. Hi Sam,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team reading your blog from my home in Canada. I see that you believe in taniwha. Does that mean you would be hesitant to swim in the Waikato River? I would be, if I thought there might be huge water creature lurking below the surface!!

There are many mysteries in life, aren't there? In Canada we have stories of a human-like creature who potentially lives in the mountains out west. It's called "Big Foot" or "Sasquatch" because it reportedly leaves very large footprints in the snow or on the earth, wherever it travels. There are those who claim to have seen this Sasquatch at a distance, in the woods, and there have even been some blurry photos of something that looks like an upright, walking 'creature'. But there are many who say this is just a myth and that no such thing exists.

    Who knows?

I hope that you'll try to take a little more time to post your answers to these activities in the future, Sam, if you wish to earn full points. As you say, this response is a little short!

I hope you're having a super summer and I'm very glad that you'd chosen to be a part of this Summer Learning Journey program!!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
