Bonus activity let it rain

I have to create a story following on from this..

...there were no colours paint had washed of the houses the tree grass and plants were grey or at least not there.
It was a nightmare in real life.
no one was out of there houses I was surprised because there roofs were caving in.
Dead birds and cats were scattered across the ground.
Cars had rust spots on them and power lines sparked every now and then.
As we walked it only got worse.
People struggled to open there doors and news paper were more like paper pulp.
Bikes had broken from all the rust on them.
It was like seeing a ghost town with people in it.

I know that would probably not happen but it's a story so yeah!
Please comment bellow and I will see you later!

  1. Hello Samuel,
I am Vitaraag. You have a very descriptive story there. You have put so much effort with the story. Do you want acid rain to fall? I don't. Maybe next time you can say if the pond or lakes were acid or not. Keep up the phenomenal work!

  2. Talofa Lava Samuel,
I am Gargee from Hay Park School. I really like your piece of writing, because it seems so real and nerve-racking. Well done for making it sound real!

I loved reading this piece of writing because it sent a huge bolt of electricity down my spine. Dead cats and birds sound like a real movie, and the grass turning grey is a nightmare! My favourite line is 'the roofs were caving in' because it makes me feel very concerned about the people inside, and how they may feel.

    Don't you feel the same?

    Happy Blogging

  3. Malo e lelei Sam,

WOW! What an incredible story you have created documenting what you would see when walking out your front door after an acid rain storm. Your description really had me feeling like I was walking through the town you were describing. I thought it was really creative that you explained that all the colours had washed off all the building and plants. It would have looked like the black and white photo that you shared.

The worse thing about acid rain is that after a downpour the acid enters our streams, lakes, and ocean, harming all the creatures in the water. It is also absorbed by the soil so that trees start to die off as it starts to absorb harmful chemicals. You have thought about what might happen immediately after a down pour but it an also affect animals and the environment weeks and months after a down pour.

Do you know what causes acid rain?

    Awesome work,
    Megan :)

  4. Hi Samuel,
Well done on completing this Summer Learning Journey activity. I like the story that you made on the acid rain. My favorite thing is that you set the story after the acid rain happened. What do you think you would do if a acid rain happened in real life? Keep up the good work.

  5. Hi Samuel!
I like your story that you have written on the dry dead nature. What would you do if this actually happen? If this happen, I would really be scared.
    Blog you later!

  6. Hi Sam,

Wow!!! What a story, as I was reading it, I started picturing it in my head. I couldn't imagine opening our front door and not seeing any colour. We have so many trees and colourful gardens around us. Yes of course it doesn't just affect us, it would affect our wildlife and pets too.

    Awesome blogging.
