activity 2 the plastic pledge

Hello.
We a have another interview!
But this time for real.
I am going to interview my 4 year old sister on what she thinks on the decision to go plastic bag free.

So the video will be below but if you have trouble watching it she said it is good because it can go into the ocean and the fish might eat the plastic and die.
so please comment below and I will see you soon!

  1. Kia ora Sam,

My name is Georgia and I am the Cluster Manager of the Kaikohekohe (Northland) schools. I am very impressed with the interview you made with your little sister Leah. I'm glad you got to the end decision that it is good that they are banning plastic bags! Leah is right, they often end up in the oceans and can be eaten by fish and other marine life and lead to them getting sick or even dying, it is very sad.

I love the hand shake at the end between you and Leah, you were very professional, ka pai! Maybe when you are older you could be a reporter for the news? Do you think you'd like to be a reporter as your job?

Congratulations on completing the SLJ programme for the second year, you're awesome and I have really enjoyed having a look through some of your blog posts. I can tell you put a lot of effort into each activity you completed.

I hope you have a fabulous year and go back to school excited and ready to learn!
    Nga mihi, Georgia.

  2. Thank you for this comment!
Just a quick little thing it was on accident but we wanted her name do be different so it's spelt 'Leeya' but it's OK
I don't think I would like it unless it is people I want to meet.
    Bye!

  3. Hi Smauel!
Its great to see that you have made a video of you about the Plastic Pledge. I agree that we should use less plastic, because if it goes into the Sea/Ocean then it could get eaten mistakenly and could kill a water animal.
    Blog you later!

  4. Hi Samuel,
Well done on finishing this activity. I also think that Countdown's decision to go plastic bag free is great. This way, there won't be as much plastic going into our waterways and rivers. Hopefully, we will have less polluted waters and more fish because of that. Keep up the good work.

  5. Hi Sam,

You did such a great job with your interview. It is sometimes hard to interview younger children. You did great with prompting Leeya when she went shy. I agree with Georgia, you were very professional with your interview. Who knows maybe one day you could be a reporter.

    Awesome work!!!
    Mum
